Been Awhile

Well friends and family, it has been awhile since I was on here. There have been some new and exciting changes that have been going on. Last weekend, got to go to the 2015 Summer Slaughter show in Cleveland, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio. I can say that I like shooting shows on larger stages like the Agora and the Madison...lol. Started the journey off at the Mad Frog in Cincinnati, Ohio where bands competed for the Columbus spot on the Summer Slaughter tour. The bands that were competing were, in order of appearance: Horlet, Spirit and the Bride, Two Punch Gun, The Earth Laid Bare, Facing the Storm, Empty Throne, Forces of Nature, Echoes of Empathy, Dark Soul and Sins of Motion. Horlet kicked the night off with a killer set. Spirit and the Bride, Empty Throne, and Sins of Motion had great sets also, it was the first time I had seen any of those bands. Two Punch Gun really had the crowd going as did The Earth Laid Bare. Facing the Storm had a new lead singer and guitarist so that was a change...there seemed to be more energy since the last time I saw them. Forces of Nature....well, they just melted my face off....lol. Echoes of Empathy...Mossy and his crew had an awesome set and Dark Soul...continued the face melting...surprised I had any flesh after that show. Forces of Nature won the slot for Columbus and Dark Soul got a slot in Chicago. As soon as the show was over, we loaded up in the van, had a quick stop off in Dayton, Ohio at Forces Stronghold, and then drove up to Cleveland for the first show at Cleveland's Agora. Pulled into the parking area and the first thing we see is Arch Enemy's tour bus. Spent most of the day hanging out in the parking lot...got a pretty good sun tan from that...Show starts off with Forces of Nature, The Earth Laid Bare, Beyond Creation, Cattle Decapitation, The Acacia Strain, Veil of Maya, Born of Osiris, and Arch Enemy. The Agora was great. We got to watch the show from the balcony so we had a birds eye view of the stage. I got to shoot Forces of Nature and got a couple of good pics. The stage was too high to get a good shot of Shannon behind the kit, but when I get done with the Mad Frog shots, I will see what I ended up with...for right now...here is a few pics of Forces from the Cleveland Agora Show-Summer Slaughter 2015...
